Andrew Tosh and Anthony B helped lead the musical tribute at Tosh Fest 2026, held at Woodstock Beach in Negril on October 17. An October 29 Jamaica Observer report revisits the gathering, which marked fifty years since Peter Tosh’s Legalize It album.
The Peter Tosh Foundation’s official history confirms the October 17 celebration in Negril. Nationwide Radio’s earlier report also documents the tribute and its rain-delayed start. This is coverage of a completed event, rather than a new concert announcement.
The programme opened with Nyabinghi drumming and included a screening about Tosh’s musical legacy. Performers included Mutabaruka, Medisun, Karbon, Dahvid Slur and Aza Lineage, with Rory Stone Love providing selections. Andrew Tosh performed songs associated with his father, while Anthony B connected his own musical outlook with Tosh’s example.
Foundation head Niambe McIntosh described the anniversary as a chance to revisit the album’s wider concerns with freedom and human rights. The concert sat alongside museum and academic activities during a week of commemorations, linking performance with discussion of the ideas behind Tosh’s music.
