Tony Prescott’s Sweetness is receiving fresh attention ahead of Trinidad Carnival 2027. The groovy soca recording, credited to Prescott and MadLypso on Amazon Music, was released in September 2026; it is not a new October 27 release.
Soca News’ October 26 feature identifies MadLypso as the production duo of Johann Seaton and Kern Rose. Rose wrote the song, with mixing and mastering credited to Madman Yohan.
Prescott, also known as Tony P, is familiar to carnival audiences through All Aboard. Sweetness adds a relaxed, melodic recording to his catalogue, with lyrics centred on companionship and togetherness as DJs assemble their selections for the coming season.
