Vybz Kartel’s Fever has earned double platinum certification in Canada. Music Canada’s official awards archive records the honour on November 5, 2026, and lists Adidjahiem Records, TJ Records and Zojak World Wide alongside the single.
The Jamaica Observer and DancehallMag report that the award represents more than 160,000 units in combined sales and streaming equivalents. Both publications describe it as Kartel’s first Canadian certification. The milestone belongs to the recording released in 2016, giving a decade-old dancehall hit a fresh international achievement.
Fever appears on King of the Dancehall. Its Canadian award connects the song’s original album campaign with its continuing commercial reach. For listeners returning to the record, the original album remains the place to hear the track in context; this certification does not announce a new version or remix.
In a statement published by the Observer, Zojak founders Zoe Espita and Aaron Mahlfeldt welcomed the achievement and credited Kartel, TJ Records and the wider team behind the recording. They framed it as an example of dancehall reaching audiences across borders.
The Canadian recognition follows other international milestones covered by Caribbean Flava, including the UK certification for Pon De Floor. Each award applies to its own recording and market; the new Canadian double platinum designation is specifically for Fever.
