Seventeen emerging music creatives from Jamaica and Canada gathered at Tuff Gong Studios for the Kingston leg of the Gupta Family Foundation Toronto–Kingston Music Experience.
The group included ten participants from Toronto and seven from Jamaica. They collaborated on original recordings and took part in mentorship and discussions covering songwriting, artist development and the music business.
Developed by Toronto Metropolitan University’s Creative School and the Gupta Family Foundation, the exchange followed a Toronto programme in July. The Kingston sessions connected creative collaboration with practical preparation for a sustainable music career.
