Spice has received a Philanthropist Award from St Catherine High School, recognising her work in performing arts and communities across Jamaica, the Jamaica Observer reports.
The artiste, whose name is Grace Hamilton, reflected on her school years in an Instagram post about the honour. She returned wearing blue in tribute to the institution’s colours and described the recognition as a meaningful return to where her ambitions began.
She also thanked the school and Kiwanis and congratulated the other honourees. The recognition highlights the community work of one of dancehall’s best-known performers.
