Saint Lucia is bringing its Carnival culture to South Florida through a Miami takeover running October 6–13, according to the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority.
Soca artiste Sedale and entertainer Barry Hype are scheduled for selected appearances during the week and the Miami Carnival concert along the parade route. Christopher Gustave, the authority’s marketing manager responsible for events, heads the delegation.
Tourism Minister Dr Ernest Hilaire described this as the fifth consecutive year of taking Saint Lucia’s Carnival presentation overseas. The partnership promotes the island’s performers and encourages audiences experiencing the culture abroad to visit Saint Lucia.
