A historic wooden house at 14 Hillsborough Street in Roseau is the focus of a restoration project supported by the Caribbean Culture Fund.

The Society for Historic Architectural Preservation and Enhancement, known as SHAPE, is working with the Saba Heritage Center on the building, which dates to at least the 1850s and is owned by Prevo Cinemall.

Plans include a museum, bookshop and café where young people can gain small-business experience. The Resilient Houses Project links the preservation of traditional Caribbean architecture with cultural and community activity. These are proposed facilities; an opening date has not been established in the report.
