An October 25 Jamaica Observer report looks back at Praise in the Park at Kingston’s Emancipation Park, describing a programme of gospel music, dance and community worship organised by the Credit Unions of Jamaica.
Performers included Chantal Smalling Stephenson, Rhoda Isabella, Jai Kingston, Nickette Morgan-Williams, Raheem Wellington and Sebastian Braham, with dance by Monique Holding. The report also records the performers’ reflections on taking part and the organisers’ response to the audience turnout.
Stephenson, Jamaica Gospel Star’s 2026 winner, described the appearance as a long-held ambition. The report moves this page beyond its original advance programme into a performance recap.
Date clarification: the original announcement advertised October 16. The new report prints a different date with an inconsistent weekday, so this update does not treat that printed date as a confirmed correction.
