Skippa’s international profile is growing. In a September 25 interview with the Jamaica Observer, the dancehall artist discussed being recognised by Billboard as a Caribbean Rising Star.
He described a year in which touring and audience response exceeded his expectations. The recognition follows the Observer’s decision to include him among its artists to watch at the start of 2026.
Skippa credited his supporters and the team behind his music. His focus, he told the newspaper, is sustained development through recording, performing and staying connected with listeners.
